Bengaluru: Minister Basavaraj Bommai invited opposition leader Siddaramaiah for a discussion to resolve the issue over his letter to Assembly speaker about boycotting the house’s advisory committee.
Speaking to reporters, Bommai said he had a discussion with Siddaramaiah, DK Shivakumar and RV Deshpande on Thursday and had appealed him to attend the meeting.
He added that Siddaramaiah was upset about the previous advisory committee meetings and he had asked him to resolve any confusion through discussion.
“We don’t know what their demands are. If they come to the meeting we can debate and discuss it. I have appealed to them to discuss all their issues and we will listen to it with an open mind,” Bommai said.
During the last session, the Advisory Committee meeting was not held as decided. Hence, the State Congress decided not to attend the committee meeting at its legislature party meeting held on Thursday.
