Mangaluru police to initiate legal action against fake news disseminating website

Mangaluru: The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of the city Hariram Shankar has said that legal action will be taken against a local website for spreading fake news.
The DCP stated that the website posted heavily edited videos and presented fake documents to created animosity between social groups.
“A case has already been registered with at the Cyber police station and action will be taken against the people responsible for creating and managing the website,” he added.
