Car runs over Ullal ASI’s leg in road mishap

Ullal: A collision between a bike and a car at Kolya near here seriously injured the leg of Ullal police station’s Assistant Sub Inspector at around midnight on Sunday.
ASI Shekhar Gatti (40), a resident of Kolya Malayalakodi, was injured while his two children riding along with him on his Bullet escaped with minor injuries.
The ASI’s bike was hit by a car on its way from Mangaluru to Kerala. The wheel of the car ran over his legs after he fell down from his bike.
Gatti was immediately taken to a private hospital at Deralkatte by Ullal police officials and locals.
He has been working as an ASI for the past two years.
A case was registered at the Naguri traffic police station.
