M’luru airport expansion works completion planned before Mar ’21

New Delhi: In a reply to Rajya Sabha MP from Karnataka KC Ramamurthy Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that the expansion works at the Mangaluru airport is expected to be completed before March 2021.
The Airports Authority of India is building paralle taxi track and aerobridges at the airport at an estimated cost of Rs 98 crore and Rs 95 crore, respectively. Due to the rainy season and the COVID-19 lockdown the works was stalled, the minister further informed.
Also the airport’s operations was outsourced to a private operator in October 2020, Puri said.
