Bengaluru: The State government is likely to restart physical classes for students in classes 6 to 8 on all boards from February 18.
As per reports, the Department of Public Instruction has been under immense pressure to restart school for all students. Hence the department is planning to at least restart classes 6 to 8.
A proposal regarding the same will be presented to the COVID-19 Technical Advisory Committee by the department in a meeting soon.
Presently, students in these classes are being taught in physical sessions under the Vidyagama programme.
Only students in classes 9 to 12 are attending physical classes.
The department will not restart physical classes for students in classes 1 to 5 this academic year and the Vidyagama programme will be extended to these classes.
