Belagavi: Minister for Water Resources Ramesh Jarkiholi on Monday claimed that he can get 5 State legislators from the Congress to resign and defect to the BJP within 24 hours.
He was speaking at a felicitation ceremony for BJP-supported gram panchayat members in the Belagavi Rural Assembly constituency on Sunday.
“In the BJP every leader is respected, unlike the Congress where I was sidelined. In this party even Union ministers treat me with affection,” the minister said.
Further commenting on Congress MLA from the constituency Lakshmi Hebbalkar he said that in politics one must speak only after acquiring enough experience.
