Bengaluru: An order by the State’s government stated that Sandalwood actor Darshan has been roped in by the government’s Agriculture Department to publicise its various schemes for the farmers.
The actor reportedly has accepted the role without any payment.
Along with promoting the schemes and programmes of the Department, Darshan will be inspiring the farmers in their work, the order further stated.
Issuing a statement on the order, Agriculture Minister BC Patil said that Darshan is a farmer himself and had himself discussed with the department about the ambassadorship.
