Malpe: Garbage disposal site transformed into a beach park

Udupi: Durgamba Yuvaka Vrinda and Mahila Vrinda took the lead in transforming a place filled with garbage into a beautiful beach park. Asare beach park at Kadike in Badanidiyoor village in Malpe was built in ten months.
During the COVID-19 lockdown, people disposed of waste here, sick of this behavior the villagers along with some youngsters decided to come up with a park here.
The above organizations without seeking any government help, pooled in money and built the park.
The organizations also plan to arrange for food at the site for the tourists visiting the park.
The park has a 6.5 feet tall stone statue of Subhash Chandra Bose, swing, slide, concrete hut, benches for the tourists, etc. It has been built at a cost of Rs 18 lac approximately.
