Bengaluru: Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala has authorized the government to probe a complaint with regard to disproportionate assets against Karnataka minister Narayana Gowda.
The complaint was filed by activist Dinesh Kallahalli who alleged “criminal misconduct by a public servant” as Gowda’s assets jumped 2300% between the affidavit filed before Lokayukta for the financial year 2016-2017 and the election affidavit in 2018.
Dinesh Kallahalli filed a complaint on January 3, 2020, with the Governor. He also gave details about the alleged disproportionate assets acquired by Narayana Gowda.
Gowda was one of the MLAs who defected from the JD(S) to the BJP in July 2019.
