Mangaluru: A man had to pay toll charges three times due to a typing mistake by one of the employees at the toll plaza and also for not having Fastag.

The man, a resident of Uppala Pachchambala, had to pay double toll charges for not having Fastag.

Later he bought one from the stalls near the toll gate and affixed it in his car.

On his return, he showed the toll receipt to the operator who told him that the vehicle registration number entered in the receipt is not of his car. The toll operator on his onward journey had committed the mistake while entering the details.

The man had to again shell out double the amount of toll charges to pass through.

When he reached home he received the message that toll charges from his Fastag-linked account has been deducted.

He has now decided to approach the toll operating company for redressal.
