Victory Flame of 1971 India-Pakistan war reaches Bengaluru, to stay till March 5

Bengaluru: The Victory Flame or the Vijay Mashaal, symbolizing India’s victory in the 1971 India-Pakistan war, reached Bengaluru on Saturday after travelling a distance of approximately 2,000 kilometres.
the flame will be taken to residences of war heroes and their kin as a mark of respect.
It was received by Major General J V Prasad, General Officer Commanding, Karnataka and Kerala Sub Area at War Memorial in Madras Engineer Group and Centre.
The flame will remain in Bengaluru till March 5, 2021, after which it will be taken to Coimbatore on March 6.
The Victory Flame was lit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in National War Memorial in Delhi on December 16, 2020.
