1 killed, 28 injured in road accident

Chikkamagaluru: One person was killed and around twenty-eight people were injured on Thursday after a KSRTC bus collided with a private bus.

The deceased is identified as Puttaswamy, a resident of Madduru.

Reportedly, the KSRTC bus was on its way to Shivamoga when it collided with a private bus heading towards Tarikeri from Shimoga.

The injured were immediately rushed to a private hospital nearby and are undergoing treatment there.

Following the accident, Tarikeri police reached the spot and registered a case with this regard.
