1,159 new COVID-19 cases, 1,112 recoveries reported in Karnataka

Bengaluru: The Health and Family Welfare Department’s Wednesday evening bulletin release stated that 1,159 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the State in the last 24 hours and 21 people have died of the virus.
1,112 infected people have recovered and been discharged from hospitals in the same period.
The number of people who have recovered from infection in the State has now reached 28,94,827.
There are 18,412 active cases in the State with the positivity rate at 0.66% and the death rate at 1.81%.
District-wise cases are:
Bagalkot 2, Bellary 6, Belagavi 1, Bengaluru Rural 359, Bidar 0, Chamarajanagar 9, Chikkaballapur 2, Chikkamagaluru 48, Chitradurga 7, Dakshina Kannada 191, Davanagere 8, Dharwad 8, Gadag 4, Hassan 81, Haveri 0, Kalaburagi 5, Kodagu 95, Kolar 32, Koppal 3, Mandya 20, Mysuru 91, Raichur 0, Ramanagara 1, Shivamogga 11, Tumkur 34, Udupi 91, Uttara Kannada 37, Vijayapura 4 and Yadgir 0.
