Madikeri: A 19-year-old married girl ended her life allegedly due to harassment from her former lover.

The victim, Divyajyoti, a resident of Madikeri left behind a death note saying she was hanging herself since she could not bear her ex-lover Pavan’s harassment.

It is gathered that Divyajyoti had called off her affair with Pawan because her parents objected to their relationship. However after their breakup she discreetly married Brijesh.

Pawan began harrassing her after he came to know of her marriage and even threatened her saying, “I will see how you are going to live with him after marriage.”

A case is registered at the city police station.

Both Brijesh and Pawan have been taken into custody.
