196 new cases, 94 discharges & 5 deaths reported in DK today

Mangaluru: The tally of positive coronavirus cases in the district rose to 2,230 in Dakshina Kannada with further 196 people testing positive for the infection on July 12.

The day also witnessed 94 discharges and five deaths. Out of the total positive cases, 876 persons have been discharged after treatment while 1,308 cases are active.

SO far 24,741 samples have been tested and of this 22,511 have turned negative.

The new cases include 20 primary contacts, 91 ILI cases 16 SARI cases, 10 overseas travelers. Two tested positive in pre-delivery samples while contact tracing is on for 57 persons.
