Vijayapura: 2 police officers suspended for allegedly harassing motorists for money

Vijayapura: SP Anupama Agarwal suspended two police officers operating a highway patrol vehicle here for allegedly harassing drivers of freight vehicles moving along the Athani Road in the city by unnecessarily stopping them and demanding money.
The suspended officers have been reported to be of Assistant Sub Inspector rank.
The video of the two officers demanding money from lorry drivers went viral on social media websites.
SP Agarwal, suspended the two police officers, pending a departmental inquiry.
