Lucknow: With Uttar Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directing extensive security arrangements at Maha Kumbh 2025, 20 high-tech drones have been deployed to monitor activities in the area round the clock.
The Maha Kumbh 2025 will be held at Prayagraj from January 13 to February 26.
The advanced drones provide around the clock surveillance, capturing every detail of the massive gathering, according to a press statement.
The drones are programmed to focus on even the smallest movements, ensuring a highly secure environment, it said.
Every development work, from the Sangam to the Maha Kumbh, is being closely monitored. The highlight of these arrangements is the use of special drones, which provide real-time updates on every detail of all 25 sectors of the Maha Kumbh with just a single click.
Special security measures are being implemented to ensure the safety and convenience of devotees attending the Maha Kumbh.
Chief Minister Adityanath has issued instructions to provide a seamless experience for pilgrims travelling to Prayagraj from across India and abroad.
To enhance security, three drone-based projects have already been initiated, ensuring vigilant monitoring of every corner of the Maha Kumbh. The number of these specialised drones may be increased if needed, further strengthening the security framework.
The drones are being deployed to oversee all construction activities carried out by various departments, including Smart City, Municipal Corporation, Police, Healthcare and Transportation.
Currently, 20 state-of-the-art drones are operational, keeping a close watch on land, water and air to ensure safety. These remotely controlled drones are operated by specially trained teams, providing a detailed view of all activities, reads the statement.
