Bengaluru:  Theatres in the city successfully screened the film 2.0 despite  the protest against the screening of this movie in Karnataka theaters by Kannada Chalavali Vatal Paksha leader Vatal Nagaraj

The theaters of the city managed to screen the movie though pro-Kannada organizations including the Karnataka Rakshana Vedike along with Vatal Nagaraj had staged a protest outside Urvashi Theater in Bengaluru against the release of Rajinikanth starrer ‘2.0’.

Addressing the media outside the theatre Vartal Nagaraj said that films of other languages like Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam should be banned in Karnataka.  In Kerala, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu there is no Kannada movies are not screened then why should we screen their movie, he questioned.

The screening of other language movie affects the growth of Kannada films, he added.

It may be recalled that protesters had managed to stop the screening of the film Kala in several theatres.
