‘210 people test positive for COVID-19 in Udupi today’

Bengaluru: Minister R Ashoka said that as many as 210 people have been tested positive for COVID-19 in Udupi on Tuesday, June 2.
Addressing presspersons here on Tuesday Ashoka said, “210 people from Udupi have been tested positive for COVID-19, out of which most of them are Maharashtra returnees”
“Maharashtra returnees will be closely monitored by the officials. They will have to compulsorily undergo 7 days of institutional quarantine and 14 days home quarantine. Soon the government will issue new guidelines for the other states returnees,” said Ashoka.
He further added, “Panchayath members will be visiting their wards to spread COVID awareness”
