22-year-old man drowns in Saligrama temple pond

Kundapura: A youth from Bengaluru drowned in the pond of Shree Gurunarasimha Temple at Saligrama on Sunday, February 16.
Pavan (22) was with 30 others touring the state’s temples. They had visited Sri Krishna Mutt on Sunday morning and had come to the Saligrama temple where he ventured into the temple pond for a swim.
He was supposed to offer the ‘Urulu Seve’ at the temple for securing an engineering job recently.
His body was retrieved from the pond by emergency services and taken to the Kota general hospital where it was handed over to his family after postmortem.
