22-year-old youth drowns in pond

Mangaluru: A 22-year-old youth drowned in a pond on Saturday, June 13 evening.
The deceased has been identified as Santhosh Devadiga, a resident of Krishnapura Naithangadi.
Santhosh along with four of his friends went swimming in a pond, as his friends were watching, he suddenly drowned. When his friends screamed for help, locals rushed to the spot and tried to rescue him but could not save.
Surathkal police have registered a case with this regard.
