28 year old man held for raping and killing 3-year-old

Bengaluru: A man was arrested for raping and killing a three-year-old girl in Kothanur on Monday.

The accused has been identified as Nishad, aged 28, a painter by profession. The victim was one of the six children of a couple from UP. Nishad was a friend of the victim’s father. She was last seen playing with Nishad. They all lived in the labour shanty in Chikka Byrathi.

Nishad confessed to the police that he took the child to an isolated place and raped her. He was scared that the child would inform her parents so he killed her.

The police have filed a POSCO case against him.
