3-day ABVP state-level meet in city from today

Mangaluru: A three-day state-level meet of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishat (ABVP) starting today (February 7) will be inaugurated by former Governor Padmanabha Balakrishna Acharya at Kudmal Rangarao Town hall.
Speaking to media persons Reception Committee chairman K C Nayak told that Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Higher Education Dr Ashwath Narayan C S will preside over the inaugural programme. Mangalore University Vice-Chancellor Prof P S Yadapadithaya will also be present.
Over 1,500 students, teacher-representatives will participate in the conference, he said. Students of Alva’s Education Foundation will present a cultural programme later on the same day.
Besides two sessions, ABVP Secretary Harsha Narayan will deliver a talk in Car street on February 8.
Treasurer Ravi Mandya, Manikantha Kalasa among others were also present.
