3 killed, 4 injured in road mishap

Belagavi: In a tragic incident, three persons including two from a family killed and four others sustained injuries in an accident that took place in Bailhongal Taluk on Friday, January 17.
The deceased have been identified as Fakirappa Tulkannavar (42), a resident of Somnatti in Baihongal, Lakshmi Gudgoli (35) and her son Kumar (8), residents of Ankalgi in Gokak.
Reportedly the accident took place when a sand-laden truck hit a Bolero pickup vehicle near the Somnatti cross.
Nesargi police have registered a case and investigating further.
