3 killed as two trucks collide in UP

Hardoi: Three persons were killed and six injured when a truck hit another one on the Katra-Billhaur highway under Pali police station area here, a police official said today.
The sand-laden truck hit a mini-truck coming from the opposition direction near Rupanpur village last night, ASP Gyanjay Singh said.
While Raman Pal (30), the driver of the mini truck died on the spot, two others Balbir (35) and an unidentified person succumbed to injuries in hospital, the police officer said.
The driver and cleaner of the truck fled the scene after the accident, the ASP said, adding the injured were undergoing treatment in the district hospital.
