3 tourists crushed to death and 8 injured in tree fall at KRS

Mysuru: Three tourists on a visit to the Brindavan Gardens died when a tree branch fell over them amid a rainstorm on May 1.
The deceased have been identified Vinod (35), a resident of Kannur in Kerala, Rajashekar (35) of Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu and Hilara. Eight others endured wounds in the episode.
Numerous trees uprooted as heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorm lashed the place at around 7.30 PM. Tragically, an huge tree branch fell over the people who were taking shelter under a tree resulting in the death of three visitors and injuring eight others.
While Vinod and Hilara passed on the spot, Rajashekar succumbed to injuries at the hospital.
Apart from this, many birds which were taking shelter in tree branches also died as a result of tree fall. Local people have requested sufficient care to the harmed birds.
