Karkala: A three-year-old boy who went missing under mysterious circumstances on the day of his birthday was found some 200 meters away from his house hours after his disappearance.
The boy Prashwik was reportedly playing in the courtyard of his house located near Kakkepadavu in Nandalike Golikatte on Thursday evening. However sometime later family members realised that he had gone missing and raised an alarm. Prashwik’s parents – Prashanthi and Raghu – and other members of the family launched a frantic search for him but were unable to trace him whereafter they approached the Karkala rural police station.
Meanwhile following Prashwik’s disappearance people felt that the boy had been kidnapped and such stories started doing the rounds on social media giving rise to a tense atmosphere in the area.
The police undertook a search operation for him and without wasting any time passed on details of the missing boy to all the police stations. A joint search team comprising of some local youngsters and the police personnel finally traced the boy, who was wailing loudly to a nearby forest area about 200 metres away from his home much to the relief of his parents.
Prashwik’s uncle however raised doubts on how the boy had reached the forest area especially since he had never ventured out of his courtyard so far.
