3-yr-old dies after falling from bike, father booked for rash driving

Bengaluru: In a tragic incident, a girl child died and her father sustained injuries after he lost control of his bike near the Bellahalli flyover.
The deceased is identified as Himanti (3), daughter of Rakesh Kumar, an interior designer.
It is gathered that the accident took place on late Sunday, March 17 night when Rakesh Kumar was riding home towards Bellahalli from Kogilu Junction, with his daughter Himanshi seated in front.
Ramesh lost control of the vehicle and fell on to the road near the Bellahalli underpass. In the accident both Himanti and Rakesh sustained injuries, though locals immediately rushed Himanshi to the hospital she did not respond to treatment and passed away, informed sources.
Kumar is currently undergoing treatment.
The Electronic City police on Monday, March 18 informed that the accident took place due to the negligence of her father and booked him for rash and negligent driving.
