32-year-old booked for breaking home quarantine rules in Bantwal

Bantwal: A case has been filed against a resident of Thumbe for violating home quarantine rules.

The accused is identified as Sahid (32), a resident of Kanemar in Thumbe village.

As per sources, the police the Thumbe gram panchayat had served a notice to Sahid asking him to undergo home quarantine from July 9 to 23.
On July 14 when the Bantwal police personal visited his house to check whether the quarantine guidelines are being obeyed, he realized that Sahid was not at home.

Sahid had violated home quarantine rules as ordered by the government and had visited different public places and had mingled with other people.

The Bantwal police have now registered a case against Sajid under sections 269, 270, and 271 of Indian Penal Code and section 5(1) of the Karnataka Epidemic Diseases ordinance 2020.
