35-yr-old man stoned to death in UP

Muzaffarnagar: A 35-year-old person was stoned to death in Bhokaheri village here allegedly by a man who accused him of eloping with his wife, police said today.
The incident took place last evening. The deceased was identified as Om Singh, Station House Officer (SHO), Bhopa, B S Yadav said.
He said a case was registered against five persons, including the woman’s husband Chandrapal.
The SHO said Chandrapal, who has been arrested, had accused Singh of eloping with his wife three years ago.
His wife has not returned to him since then, he said.
Security has been tightened in the village to thwart any untoward incident.
