Mysuru: A 39-year old man has been arrested in Mysuru for alleged involvement in the killing of four members of RSS and its affiliate organisations in the past 11 years, police said on Friday.
Atique Ahmed Sharif alias Timber Atique, a resident of Lashkar Mohalla in Mysuru, was arrested by the Central Crime Branch and the local police.
While he was arrested following an investigation into the killing of Raju of Kyatamaranahalli in Mysuru in 2016, during interrogation his link to the fatal attack on three others came to light, police said.
He is involved in four murder cases and one attempt to murder case, Mysuru Commissioner of Police KT Balakrishna told.
He, however, refused to divulge further details, saying the investigation into the cases was at a crucial stage.
Police sources said Atique had been targeting right wing outfit members here and was allegedly involved in the killings of three others between 2008 and 2009.
