3rd edition of Kasturba Hospital Corporate Cricket League 2024 inaugurated at Manipal

The much-anticipated 3rd edition of Kasturba Hospital Corporate Cricket League (KH-CCL) 2024 was inaugurated at Manipal with great enthusiasm. Organized by Kasturba Hospital Manipal, the three-day cricket extravaganza is set to witness the participation of 24 teams representing corporate companies, banks, medical associations, and media outlets from various districts of Karnataka.

The inauguration ceremony took place at the Manipal End Point ground, where Mr. Gautham Shetty, President of the Udupi District Tennis Ball Association, and Dr. H S Ballal, Pro-Chancellor of MAHE, Manipal, jointly unveiled the prestigious trophy. Expressing his thoughts on the occasion, Mr. Gautham Shetty highlighted the significance of such sporting events in promoting camaraderie and healthy competition among professionals.

Dr. H S Ballal, in his address, emphasized MAHE Manipal’s unwavering support for sports and extracurricular activities. He commended Kasturba Hospital for organizing the corporate cricket league as part of their commitment to fostering a holistic development environment within the institution.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by the presence of prominent personalities, including Dr. Sharath Kumar Rao, Pro-Vice Chancellor of MAHE, Manipal, Dr Girdhar Kini, Registrar, MAHE, Dr. Avinash Shetty, Medical Superintendent of Kasturba Hospital, Manipal. Dr. G Arun G Maiya, Dean of Manipal College of Health Profession, Mr Sachina Karanth , Head- Marketing, Dr Keertinatha Ballala, CMO-Dr TMA Pai Rotary Hospital, Karkala, Mohan Shetty and other senior management team members were also present to lend their support.

The cricket tournament promises thrilling matches and friendly competition as it unfolds from January 7- 9. As a platform that brings together professionals from diverse sectors, the KH-CCL 2024 is not only a sporting spectacle but also an opportunity for networking and building connections among participants. With the picturesque Manipal End Point ground as the backdrop, the event is expected to be a memorable celebration of sportsmanship and teamwork. The valedictory ceremony will be held on January 9 at 3.45 pm.
