Kasaragod / Udupi: As the search for a 6-year-old girl abducted from Kollam was continuing, four children from Kasaragod also went missing on Monday evening, creating panic among parents.
Of the 4 missing, 3 had come home from school and gone out to play on November 27. However, by evening 7pm, the four children, all aged below 15 years, were nowhere to be found. Concerned families contacted the Kasaragod Police.
Police swiftly informed their counterparts in other districts, including Karnataka about the missing children.
Among the missing kids, one had a mobile phone. This proved to be useful as the number could be traced for vital clues.
Based on the cell phone data, the children were tracked to Udupi. Udupi police rescued the children and informed Kasaragod police about it. Children were brought back to Kasaragod on Monday night by a police team that had reached Udupi.
It is gathered that the children had planned to go to Goa. They were counseled and handed over to their parents, ending the harrowing situation.
