4 killed as car falls into canal in Bagalkot

Bagalkot: Four persons including a woman, were killed when their car fell into a canal near Lokapura here on Friday morning, police said.
The deceased are identified as Sunil (24), Mahadeva Patil (27), Eritha Kambara (26) and Vijay (26) — all residents of village of Gudammanahal of Ramadurga taluk. Two other persons sustained injuries in the mishap have been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The car was headed from Jamakhandi to Ramadurga when it fell into the canal.
A crane was deployed to pull out the car.
Lokapura Police visited the spot and registered case.
