4 killed in horrific collision between cars in Haveri

Haveri: A devastating road accident involving two cars claimed four lives near Tadas Cross on the national highway in Shiggavi Taluk on Wednesday, December 25.

The victims have been identified as Chandramma (59) from Chamarajpet, Bengaluru; her daughter Meena (38) from Harihar; driver Mahesh Kumar C (41); and Dhanveer (11) from Harihar.

The accident occurred when a car heading towards Hubballi lost control, crossed the road divider, and collided head-on with another car traveling towards Bengaluru.

Two victims died on the spot, while the other two succumbed to injuries during treatment at KIMS Hospital in Hubballi.

Police from the Tadas station are investigating the incident.
