5 from DK, 21 from Udupi test Covid +ve

Mangaluru/Udupi: Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts reported five and 21 new cases of coronavirus respectively on Sunday, June 14.
The five cases reported in Dakshina Kannada includes three Saudi returnees, one Maharashtra returnee and a 12-year-old boy who happens to be contact of patient 4526. all of them have been admitted to the designated district hospital.
As reported earlier a 26-year-old youth, who had returned from Maharashtra recently died at a private hospital in Dakshina Kannada taking the district death toll to 8.
The new cases in Udupi includes a 34-year-old female returnee from Tamil Nadu and 52-year-old male returnee from Uttar Pradesh. Contact tracing has begun for a 53-year-old male who tested positive today. While Maharashtra returnees accounted for rest of the cases.
As on June 14, Udupi has 1026 confirmed cases of coronavirus.
