5 tips to prevent stress eating while working from home

Working from home during the coronavirus pandemic is proving to be a huge challenge for many employees as it can lead to some unhealthy behaviors, including overeating due to stress and boredom.
While taking comfort in food during times of stress is a normal reaction, overeating regularly can negatively affect your health and increase your stress and anxiety levels.
Here are ways to prevent stress eating
- Plan your snack and meal times. Just as you schedule and plan out the rest of your day, establish when throughout the day you’re going to eat.
- To minimize trips to the grocery store while social distancing, make a weekly meal plan and grocery list
- Eating the right snack, at the right time, can help manage hunger, increase energy and boost nutrition
- Drink lots of water. Dehydration can lead to headaches and fatigue, which are both not good for your productivity.
- Too much caffeine is known to cause headaches, anxiety, digestive issues and even fatigue. Hence, reduce your coffee intake
