As you age, the cartilage around your joints can wear or break down which triggers arthritis or a  joint disorder that causes pain and stiffness due to inflammation. However, one may not be able to completely prevent injury or avoid health conditions such as arthritis, but there are certain things you can do to keep your joins healthy

Here are 5 tips to keep your joints healthy

1.It is important to keep moving as many who suffer from joint pain prefer not to do any kind of exercise. Movement eases joint stiffness, reduces joint pain, strengthens the muscles which surround the joints

2.It is necessary for us to maintain our ideal body weight. Carrying excess body weight adds stress to our joints, especially the weight-bearing joints

3.Experts suggest that certain fish like salmon and mackerel are good sources of omega-3 fatty acids, which help keep joints healthy. They also lower inflammation, which causes joint pain and tenderness in people

4.Stand and sit up straight to protect joints from your neck down to your knees.

5.Water makes up about 80 percent of your body’s cartilage. If you don’t stay well-hydrated, your body will pull water from cartilage and other areas
