Kolar: Manjunath, a police constable with Bengaluru’s City Armed Police, appeared in the SSLC examination here on Monday.
Manjunath had joined the police force in 1993. Back then those who had cleared class 4 were accepted for the police constable job.
In 1996, however, the rules were changed making it mandatory to have completed class 10 to join the police force as a constable.
He has to pass class 10 now to be promoted as Head Constable.
Manjunath had appeared for the SSLC examination last year too but had failed.
