580 litres of diesel stolen from buses, owned by former CM BSY’s kin

Shivamogga: A case has been registered at Vinobnagar police station in connection with the theft of diesel from four buses parked near Mythri apartment on Sominakoppa road in Shivamogga on Tuesday night.

These buses belong to PES educational institutions owned by former Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa’s family.

Upon reporting to duty the next day, the drivers noticed that the caps of the tanks were left open. Though the buses had been parked near the Institute amidst security, the thieves managed to steal 580 litres of diesel worth over Rs 55,000.
