Gadag: As many as six persons were killed and another four were injured in a fatal road accident involving two cars.
The deceased are Ananda Betageri (28), Aruna Betageri(26), Siddu(26), Manoj Kumar(27), Channu(26) and Amrith(27), all residents of Hebballi-Agasi in Dharwad and the injured are Manjunath Hallikeri, Virupakshappa Abbigeri, Vishwanath Kerur and Vijaykumar Banavasi and are undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital.
The accident took place on Sunday, December 30 in Adavisompaur village on National Highway 63, 12 km away from the district headquarters of Gadag, in north Karnataka.
It is gathered that the accident occurred after the car heading towards Gadag lost control and crossed over to the other side of the road and this resulted in the collision, killing all the six in one on the spot.
A case with this regard had been registered with the Gadag Rural police.
