Kundapur: A six-year-old who apparently sleepwalked for nearly three kilometers was found standing naked below the name board of Swami Koragajja on Dabbekatte-Thekkatte Road at approximately 2 am on July 19 by a staff member of a restaurant.
The man Vishwanatha Poojary was on his way home after closing down the restaurant when he noticed the girl standing here and stopped out of concern to inquire what she was doing there at the time. After talking to the girl, a resident of Korgi village, Poojary found that she had sleepwalked from her home and had no sense of her surroundings.
Poojary later took her home safely. Her family members were relieved to see the bar staff bring back their daughter home safely.
The humane gesture of the restaurant staffer has been appreciated by people here.
