7 personnel of Kadri fire service station test Covid-19 positive; one succumbs

Mangaluru: At least seven firefighters from the Kadri fire service station have tested positive for the virus infection and one has succumbed to the disease.
It is suspected that the firefighters might have contracted the disease during Tauktae cyclone relief work.
The deceased firefighter identified as Naveen Chandra (54) is a resident of Ullal Kotekar and is survived by wife and three children.
It is learnt that the other six personnel are under home quarantine.
