74th Republic day celebrations held in DK, Udupi

Mangaluru: The 74th Republic Day was celebrated in Dakshina Kannada here on Thursday, January 26 with DK District Minister In-charge, V Sunil Kumar unfurling the tricolor at Nehru Maidan Ground.

MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA Vedavyas Kamath, Legislative Council Member Harish Kumar, Mangalore Mayor Jayananda Anchan, Deputy Mayor Poornima, MUDA President Ravishankar Mijar, District Collector Ravikumar MR, West Zone IGP Dr. Chandragupta, Mangaluru City Police Commissioner Shashikumar, District Superintendent of Police Rishikesh Bhagwan Sonavan, Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Dr. Kumar, Mangalore Corporation Commissioner Akshay Sridhar and others were present.

As part of the 74th Republic Day, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Western Range, Chandragupta hoisted the flag at the parade grounds.

Minister Angara paid respects to the Martyrs Memorial at Ajjarakadu.

MLA Raghupathi Bhat, District Collector, Kurma Rao and others were present.
