75 units of free electricity for SC and ST households: CM Bommai

Bengaluru: All Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) households in the state would get free electricity supply up to the first 75 units used, said chief minister Basavaraj Bommai on Tuesday.
He was speaking at the function to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Babu Jagjivanaram held at the Vidhana Soudha here.
At present, the SC and ST households registered under the Kuteera Jyothi Yojana get free electricity for up to 40 units. It has been decided to raise this limit to 75 units and extend the benefit to all SC and ST households, he said.
