8 held for stone pelting at Hassan BJP MLA Preetham Gowda’s  house

Hassan: Eight persons have been arrested in connection to the stone pelting incident, allegedly by JDS party workers at the residence of BJP MLA Preetham Gowda, informed district superintendent of police, A N Prakash Gowda.

Accusing Gowda of conspiring to topple the Congress-JD(S) government, the JDS party workers, on Wednesday had allegedly attacked his house by pelting it with stones, resulting into injury to one BJP party worker and damages to a car.

The arrested have been identified as JD(S) former municipal president of Hassan, Anil Kumar, councillors, H C Gireesh, Prashanth Nagaraj, zilla panchayat member, H P Swaroop, former councillors, A K Kamal Kumar, Bhanuprakash, Chandru Katihalli and Jagadish

Further, the SP added that they have increased the security at Gowda’s residence as well as at the BJP office.
