8-year-old boy drowns in rivulet in Belthangady

Belthangady: An 8-year-old boy drowned after being washed away by rainwater at a rivulet near his residence at Bandaru village here on Saturday June 2nd.
The deceased has been identified as Kaushik, son of Vadappa Gowda and Yashodha from Yerbudelu.
On Saturday at around 5 pm, Kaushik was standing near the stream when the incident occurred. The sudden flow of rainwater snatched the kid of his feet and eventually drowned him.
Kaushik was the second among three siblings and is survived by his parents, brother Karthik and sister Kavya.
