806 houses damaged in Udupi, DK

Mangaluru: A total of 6 six persons met fatal death during the recent flood-like situation in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts.

As per the State Emergency Operation Centre, Revenue Department Disaster Management, three deaths were due to flood and three deaths due to lightning in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts

The deaths due to lightning were in Puttur, Moodbidri and Kadaba taluks.

A total of 803 houses were damaged due to floods. There were also three cattle deaths, two at Karkala and Kundapur taluks in Udupi district, and one in Belthangady in DK.
