Bengaluru: Kannadigas are in for a treat for this (2022) year-end, with around nine movies ready for release.
By this the Sandalwood saga of “December release” has continued this year too.
The movies ready for release this week are “Jamaligudda”, “Padavi Poorva”, “Naanu, Adu Mattu Saroja”, “Made in Bengaluru”, “Dwipatra”, “Love Story”, “Jordan”, “Alpha” and “Rudhira Kanive”.
As per the reports, the producers of these nine movies are releasing movies in December 2022, due to “Challenging Star” Darshan’s movie “Kranti” which is set to release on January 26, next year. This being a star movie, the producers of the nine movies feel that there might be a shortage of screens for their movies during the release of Darshan’s movie.
Moreover, about seven movies are ready for release in January 2023.
In December 2022 alone, 37 movies have been released.
Seven were released in the first week, nine movies in the second and third weeks, three in the fourth week, and on December 30, nine movies will be released.
