A gang of youth arrested for abusing traffic cops

Bantwal: Five youngsters have been arrested by Bantwal police on the charges of obstructing the police from performing their duties and abusing the latter at BC Road Narayana Guru Circle on Sunday October 21st.
The arrested youth have been identified as Jithesh (31), Vikesh (27), Austin (23), Arvin (21) and Aldrin (18). The police have also seized the car in which the five were travelling.
The incident
On Sunday evening, Traffic SI Manjula KM and other staff were inspecting vehicles at Narayana Guru Circle as usual when the car with tinted glass was stopped on finding that the driver was also not wearing seat belt. However, the accused began to abuse the lady cop in most foul language. Consequently, the five were arrested, following the complaint lodged by the SI.
